Robert de Niro isn't the type of guy who can make me cry. His films of late cater to edgy crime caperss and action thrillers, but in "Everybody's Fine" he was such a sweetheart!
Frank (Robert de Niro) is almost devastated that all of his 4 grown-up children have cancelled their visits for their reunion. It had been 8 months since his wife passed away. So he decided, if they can't come to him, he will go to them. Unable to travel by air, he takes trains and buses and travel cross-country to surprise them! But as his unannounced visits end up with a cold shoulder - or no shoulder at all! What gives?
Nope, this isn't the frothy sitcom that its trailer seemed to suggest. It is your road movie to realizing that family is indeed worth keeping - and honesty is imperative in making things work. It's a heart-warming tale that begs to be seen!
Sam Rockell and Drew Barrymore in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind". Sam prefers to play the drums, than conducting the orchestra!
