a foreigner is spreading magic in pinoy teleserye - and she isn't gimmick hound david blaine. she is more statuesque and has the face of an angel!
when i first saw carmen soo being introduced as jericho rosales' leading lady in the malaysian-philippine co-production, my impression was: no great shakes. we have ladies prettier than her... so what gives?
in true abs-cbn publicity fashion, we were soon bombarded with endless tv guestings introducing miss carmen to our consciousness... and i began to see why.
she is a doll! if i were a lesbian, i would definitely go for carmen soo and her love for chilly paste! she has this charisma that grows on you! when i watched the very first episode of "kahit isang saglit", i couldn't help but be enamored by this charming malaysian beauty! she had me hook, line and sinker - and the way her character was written in the series, you simply cannot help but root for her!
the scenes in kelantan - which were magical, if i may say so - were like gentle caresses to the heart, i got misty. i like the way the malaysian characters intermittently spoke tagalog. "aalis ka na naman"... and so on. gosh! now i am a carmen soo admirer.
she's just adorable. the way she sings april boy regino's anthem, "di ko kayang tanggapin". eww! but alright! it was cute.

she is really great especially the lady playing the grandmother..we should do more like this show not to bored us we the subscribers...and I'd rather see this kind of show than watching my time seeing deal or no deal...this is such a failure show it looks like Chris is using the poor people in to the show and knowing how poor the last contestant I have seen she should at least give her a hint just like what wowowee does..who is really for the people... a hint to grab whatever opportunity or just about a great amount of money than 75.00 pesos...I am no fan of chris aquino she is so faky...and so much show off person of what she has when in fact it is the poor people that put her there who are so fooled by her..but not me...soon I will quit TFC just waiting for the right time or let me finish "kahit isang saglit lamang" whether this will be okay or not by your blog author go ahead...but this is the truth and this is how I feel..I am payee of your show...
i respect your displeasure with kris aquino. i am not a fan myself. however, you seem to have some misconceptions about this blog. you said "i am payee of your show..." - i do not have any shows nor am i connected with TFC or ABS CBN. this is a personal blogsite. i write about my own opinions regarding my encounters with what i get to watch on tv or the movies.
you are free to say anything about kris aquino. you can bash her for all i care. but thanks for reading this blog. cheers! ;->
in fairness, kris aquino is an excellent host. yes, she has her own faults and weaknesses, but, my God! she really is unbeatable when it comes to hosting. there's never a dull moment with her.
yes, i agree with you on kris being an excellent host. her ebullient personality and wit bring tremendous charm to any show that she appears in. i'm one to watch any show that has her in it coz she is a very amusing personality.
one doesn't have to be an ardent fan of her to actually realize she is a novelty in philippine showbiz - because she just is.
