Universal Soldier: Regeneration - Van Damme is Back!

We thought the world has become a safer place since Jean Claude Van Damme had been decommissioned. Apparently not!

In "Universal Soldier: Regeneration", Van Damme is recruited to save the world from nuclear catastrophe. He also fights Dolph Lundgren once again. On Luc's (Van Damme) hand lies the fate of the Russian president's children who were kidnapped by rebel forces in exchange of the freedom of their state and comrades. Moreover, the rebels have gained control of the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant. If their demands aren't met, they will blow up the nuclear reactor - a tragedy 100x more devastating than what befell Hiroshima.

Meanwhile, a new fighting machine in the person of UFC Star, Andrei Arlovsky takes centerstage to fight the Belgian Beef.

Turns out, the fight scenes are brisk, brawny and bone-crunching! Not the boringly protracted, overly choreographed scenes we've come to expect from B-projects like this. I was surprised it was decently entertaining! Clearly a lot better than any 10-minutes of the horrible "Wapakman".
